If you want to remove all of the metadata from a photo, it’s not quite as simple as removing the GPS location from images on Mac. While you can view that data in Preview app, there isn’t currently a way to just delete it. But like most other things, there’s an app for that. There are several apps for this task on the App Store. Use the keys “ Command+Delete ” or drag the folder or file to the Trash folder to delete it completely. Trash folder can be emptied by using Control/Alt key + Clicking on the trash icon. Deleting System and Web Cache Automatically: You can also delete all the cache files just with a mere click. Depending on the application and the installation method, you may be able to completely uninstall an application from macOS by simply dragging the.app bundle into the trash. However, that typically leaves behind at least a few preference files. In some cases it can leave behind gigabytes of data.
And the application data backed up to iTunes on Mac or PC (OR iCloud) can only be restored when doing a full restore on your iPod touch. Just ticking the app(s) you want to add back to your iPod touch in iTunes won't transfer the backed-up app data of the app(s) to your iPod touch. Doing so just means installing the apps. I've tried myself.
My QA team is testing our app for the Mac App Store and some of that involves resetting the app completely to its initial state. I'm having trouble finding documentation on exactly what should be removed to do this.
The app contains an embedded Network Extension, which is part of a shared app group with the container app. None of the apps explicitly write anything to the file system (only through UserDefaults).
Here's what I've told them to do:
Quit the app (if it's running).
Delete the app from Applications.
Remove the container app's defaults file:
rm -f ~/Library/Containers/com.mycompany.app/Data/Library/Preferences/com.mycompany.app.plist
Remove the network extension's defaults file:
rm -f ~/Library/Containers/com.mycompany.app.PacketTunnelProvider/Data/Library/Preferences/com.mycompany.app.PacketTunnelProvider.plist
Remove the app group's defaults file:
rm -f ~/Library/Group Containers/com.mycompany.appgroup/Library/Preferences/com.mycompany.appgroup.plist

Is that all that needs to be done? Or should I be removing the entire container folders? Or what? Also, should they be rebooting after this?

Also as a bonus question: It's throwing them off that it doesn't work like on iOS where when you delete the app, its settings / content get cleared. As far as I know, there's no way for me to do that. Is that correct?
Hello!
So i have a few questions..
When you delete an app, does the data(like scores, unlocked levels or in apps which are not games- documents, etc) delete itself also- it does ask you 'Deleting 'Asphalt 6 Adrenaline' will also delete it of all of its data';however i looked in settings> general> usage> manage storage and through my backup i saw data saved from sound hound and doodle jump. Ok, so i deleted both of these apps some time ago but the settins are stored. That's good. But how do i know when app data will be stored- because these are the only two deleted apps that daved their dat in icloud. Buy when i deleted Asphalt 6 Adrenaline some time ago.. Electron desktop app mac. and installe it again.. All of my data was gone. So is there a way to keep the data stored in icloud or do developers decide that?
Thanks a lot in advance!
